This guide will show you how to change background color in command line. Some change the background color in command line for fun, others, to help the user read what is being displayed. If you pair it with changing the font color as well you can get some nice results for the limited amount of options available.
- Right click the command line title bar and select the
Properties
option. - If not already selected, select the
Colors
tab. - On the left hand side of the tab make sure the radio button for
Screen Background
is selected. - Using the color bar below you can choose the new background color. Underneath the colors bar you will see a sample of what your new console window will look like.
- When happy with the results, click the
OK
button to save the changes.
Finally we can see here the results of me changing the background to a lime green and the font to a white.
