This guide will show you how to install a plugin in Atom. These steps will work for installing just about any plugin that atom has to offer. What this does not go over though, is how to set up each of the plugins you install. Sometimes when you install a plugin they will work right away, others might take some time to setup and work to your liking or configuration.
- In the main menu, select
File
>Settings
. - In the new sub menu that appears you will want to select the
Install
menu option. - Using the search bar at the top, you can search for the plugin you want to install. Or you can look at some of the recommended plugins that are shown right after opening this install section. Another suggestion is to search for plugins by the coding language you are using, framework (ex bootstrap) or the extension of the files you are using.
- Once you found a plugin click the
Install
button in the plugin’s pain. - After the plugin has been installed you will see
Settings
,Uninstall
, andDisable
.
